What a Week, and What a Mom!

I'm speaking of my mom of course. She is amazing. I had the craziest week of my life with work, some major deadlines. She was so helpful in every sense of the word. She played with Isaac, took him on walks, totally revamped my yard (including sawing off dead branches from my lilac trees!!), helped cook meals, went shopping etc! It was pure heaven. I was so sad to see her leave today. I am blessed beyond words to have such a vibrant, caring and beautiful mother. I love you!

Let the Garden Planting Begin!

Hooray! It's that time of year again and we are just itching to get the garden planted. Geoff rotatiled most of the plot we have, and Isaac promptly plopped himself down in the dirt and enjoyed sifting through the dirt. He's all boy through and through.

Lunch Group Antics

Well, as you can see, the kids loved Lunch Group. One by one, they all ended up on the table, shoving fruit in their mouth and dipping it in the fruit dip. Us responsible parents sat back and died laughing while taking pictures.

Photo Shoot

Just a couple pictures of my adorable little boy. Are his eyes to die for or what!

Welcome back Jimmy!

Our good friends the Fowlers are back from China. Isaac and Jimmy are only a few days apart in age. They were so fun to watch interact. At one point I heard them yelling for a toy they both wanted and came around the corner to see them with each other's hands on the other's face, pushing! As you can see by the look of Isaac's face in this picture, he's not so sure if he wants another boy around as competition.

Cleaning the yard with Ami (Grandma)

What a helper my mom has been! She spent hours and hours in our front and back yard, pruning, raking, pulling weeds, planting flowers etc. And I thought our yard didn't need much more work on it! Boy was I wrong. It looks, SO good now. Thanks mom!

Tulip Fest at the Wright's

Spring is definitely in the air, and our tulips are in bloom. Geoff and I planted 80 bulbs many months ago and now they've come up. I thought we should get a picture of them before they die, I wish they stayed longer! We decided that we should have planted in groups, instead of in a row.

Woman of the Year

My little sister Laura, was nominated for woman of the year at USU. All the local brothers and sisters met up with my parents who flew in for the occasion and Laura and her boyfriend Jared for the event. Though she didn't win, she wins Woman of the Year every year in my book!

Spring Break in Las Vegas

We decided to go to Geoff's sister Whitney's house for the break. We are so grateful for their hospitality! We ate delicious food, shopped, went to Lake Mead (as pictured), and shopped some more. Isaac enjoyed playing in the water, and even fell in once-don't worry, we were close by!

At the baseball game

We went to Nate's baseball game. It was so nice outside! Geoff leaned over and asked me if I was ready to be a baseball mom yet...I think we have some time before I get that title! I mostly included these pictures because I thought Isaac looked so cute in his huge gansta shorts.

Fun on the trampoline

Geoff went and got a sprinkler to put under the trampoline and the kids loved it! Isaac wasn't too sure about it all, but as long as he was closes to dad, he was fine. Isaac also enjoyed his first popsicle. The kids pictured here are our neice and nephews, Nathan, Hailey, and Parker who is three months older than Isaac. They had SO much fun together!

Goofy Isaac

Though you can't tell from the weather, we're on Spring Break. Well, Geoff is. We leave tomorrow for Las Vegas, I'm so excited for a break! I had to work all day today, so Geoff watched Isaac for most of the time. He put this sticker on Isaac's head for some strange reason. I'm not sure what is more sad, that fact that putting a sticker on our child's head is funny, or the fact that I forgot about it till I was going to put him down for a nap two hours later.

Easter Day

What a great day we had, and what beautiful weather! We met Geoff's whole family over at his parent's house in the morning and went to church together. It was a really well done program with beautiful talks and musical numbers. After, we went back to their house for a delicious traditional Easter meal and an Easter egg hunt of course!

The enticement of the Easter egg

We're not sure if Isaac really got the whole Easter Egg concept, but he certainly understands the concept of "candy". As you can see, we're pretty sure Grandma Wright was more excited about the whole thing than Isaac was.

High Flying

I had some fun with the older nieces and nephew...and my camera. Though my camera isn't the greatest, I think it did do pretty well on these shots. We really had a lot of fun.

The nicest weather

There is something about those little legs in shorts that just make me smile! It turned out to be such a nice day today which we were all very happy about. Geoff shared his lunch with Isaac on the porch swing that my parents made for us. We're ready for you summer!

Happy Birthday Kimberly

Happy 23rd Birthday Kim! We had such a fun night, starting out with the most delicious dinner at Happy Sumo. I love sushi! We ended the night at our house and had Kim's favorite, dirt cake. We feel so blessed to be close to family so that we can celebrate days like this.

Exploring

Isaac and I went out exploring today. I've learned to just accept the fact that I will be doing laundry and a bath afterwards. Isaac is my best buddy. We do everything together. Today we played with the neighbor's dog, picked up rocks, ran our fingers in the dirt, and pulled petals off of flowers. Having a boy is so fun, I can't imagine it any other way!

This was taken a week or so ago, but I forgot to post it. Isaac is really pulling himself up (for the most part). I'm competing with him for bicep size.

Super Hyper

Isaac slept a lot today, and I mean a lot! So when Geoff got home he was super hyper. They wrestled and tickled eachother and ran around the house. Isaac was delirious with laughter and so were we. Here is a video of Geoff "bonking" Isaacs' head with his bear (it's real soft, don't worry). Boy is this a fun stage that he's in!

My little white trash boy

Isaac will probably hate me for taking this picture at some point, and though a bit white-trashish, he did look real cute with his shirt off. It was hot upstairs alright, give me a break.

Boules

Boules is one of our favorite leisurly summer games to play. It's like Bocce ball, or Petanque if you know those (a favorite french sport). With the weather being so nice, Geoff brought them out and gave the boys of the family a go at it. Birch is my sister's husband, and Jared is my little sister's loverboy.

Aunties

Isaac loves his Aunties. He was being so cute with them, resting his head on their shoulders, I had to get a picture. We're so grateful to be able to have them around to have such a big impact on him. I wish Sara could be closer too, Isaac was just starting to warm up to her by the time she had to leave. I think she forgot to give him licorice.
