Another one of the boy

My favorite color

So I decided to go out on a limb and paint my kitchen "Roasted Pepper". I am quite pleased with it. We also painted the cabinents white (after hours and hours of sanding, yuck!) and will be doing black hardware and black countertops. Amazing how a couple coats of paint can totally change a room. I can't wait till it's all done!

Sunday

Isaac was looking oh so cute on Sunday, so I told him I wanted to take some pictures of him. He promptly ran and got his train conductor hat...random since he never wears it, but ok.

Happy FIVE year anniversary to us!

Right, so I managed to only take one picture this trip?? Geoff and I had a fabulously romantic anniversary celebration up in Park City, just the two of us! My sister Emily and Luke were so kind and watched Isaac for us on Friday and Saturday. We lived it up with fine dining, accommodations, and shopping. It was so nice to spend time together, just us, and remember all the fun memories we've made over the eight years total we've loved eachother.

Mornings with Isaac

We had a rough night last night. Isaac has a cold and was up off and on throughout the night. This morning though, after breakfast, I came into his room and found him on the rocking chair reading a book. It's all worth it.

Used Amy's blog as inspiration

Amy Furstenau had some great shots of Estee in this type of setting. I hope she doesn't mind me copying. This isn't the exact shot I was going for, and will probably reshoot tonight with better lighting-but I couldn't pass up posting this one because I probably wont get this adorable expression again. P.S. I cut Isaac's hair this morning, mostly the back. Not a professional job, but I'm actually quite pleased with how it turned out.

These are the questions I ask myself...

My brother Seth and Luke are staying with us. I realized this weekend that I'm out numbered. And as I walked outside to see Isaac doing this, I wondered, why are boys and girls so different? Why do boys take reading material into the bathroom, or turn everything into a competition, or dunk their heads in run-off water? These are the questions I ask myself.

My nephew Parker

We met up with most of Geoff's family at Deer Creek for a beautiful day on the lake. Parker was running around with his big brother's hat, looking so cute. This is a shout-out to my girls, Sthang, and Kdub in NY.

We're back

What a great vacation! It was absolutely gorgeous on the lake and we enjoyed every minute (aside from some real long nights) of our trip. Get ready for a million posts.

Isaac LOVES boats!

My cute mom!

Silhouette shots on the dock

Picnic at the Red House field

Hike to the top of Rattlesnake mountain

It was a gorgeous day, with an even more beautiful view of both Squam Lake and Lake Winnipesauke.

Emily and her boyfriend, Ryan

Love was certainly in the air on this trip.

Precious buns

This is what the boys did the majority of the trip

Ami and Poppy

Isaac loved getting full attention from Ami and Poppy. He spent the entire day with them while Geoff and I went to Boston. Thank you mom and dad!

The day in Boston

We had the best time in Boston! We met up with our tour guide for the day, Amberli, who took us along the Freedom Trail and on to Little Italy and Harvard Square. It was SO great to see my dear Berli again! Geoff and I are secretly real jealous of their location.
