An absolute pleasure
This family was kind enough to ask me to take pictures of them in preparation for an incredible day. They adopted this sweet little girl at birth and now six months later, they will be sealed together as a family in a Latter Day Saint Temple in Provo. As you can see, I had a hard time choosing which pictures to post, and I'm not done editing yet! Each picture just brings a huge smile to my face as the love they have for eachother is so evident and so contagious. Thanks again Karli, for letting me be a part of this special and sacred event. I'll have the gallery up soon.

The view from above
I haven't been able to get a picture of them yet, but guess who got her two bottom teeth!
It's snowing AGAIN, and we're bored
So Isaac made faces at the camera and tried on hats. Spring, for the love of, come quick.

Visiting the Christus in Salt Lake City
Isaac folding his arms being "reverent". It was the only time I could get him standing still infront of the statue.
As many of you know, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I wont get preachy here, but if you are interested finding more out about it, visit here, or feel free to email me.
Geoff had the day off so we decided to go up to the Church Museum and Visitor's Center in SLC to show Isaac this Christus as well as several other exhibits. Amy and kids came along. It was a beautiful day and ended up being really a fun trip. I've always loved this particular Christus and it was especially poignant being there with my family and these kids who were with the Savior not all too long ago!

Happy Valentines day...again
(the kids making out with a delightful sucker from Ami/grandma)
I see my husband snuck a post in. Isn't he cute!
On this Valentines day, here are a handful of things things I love:
1. My husband. As you might have seen through comments, today he finishes his dissertation. Words can't describe how happy we both are about it. Geoff has managed to finish his PhD, teach at BYU and be an active husband and father through it all. I love so much about him, but I have to say, his ability to do it all and excel WHILE doing it is so loveable. And he's pretty dang hot.
2. My kids. Lucy brings a smile to my face every time I look at her. She's so happy and so darn cute. Isaac gave me a hug today after having heart quesadillas for lunch, just because. I love that. I love his imagination and quick mind. And I love all the funny things he says, like the other day when he was eating some chicken and said "Mom, this chicken died for me, like Jesus."
3. Friends and family. I love my family so much. There is something about knowing the ins and outs of a group of people that makes getting together so fun, and so funny. And my friends, who have become my family. I love that you love me for who I am.
4. Reading a good book and falling asleep curled up next to the love of my life.
Happy Valentines Day

I know Leah has averred this blog as “her” blog, however, in an effort to celebrate my wonderful wife I thought I would post a “blast” from the past. Here’s a series of photos from our first Valentines’ days (approx. 8 years back. Yikes – we’re getting old. Good thing, love, like high quality cheese only gets better with age. Note: I realize these photos are not up to par with what Leah and her photo buddies are now taking with their fastidious digital cameras; nonetheless just enjoy the antiqued retro feel of these film captured images. Oh, and I should mention I came across these photos on an old 100mb zip disk I had back when I was a junior at BYU in 2000. Back in the day zip disks were sweet. In fact I think it was my collection of 100mb zip disks that won Leah over!

Sugar Cookies
Livi and Isaac get together for about every holiday that their mothers deem Sugar Cookie Worthy, and decorate cookies. Let's be honest, Amy and I do most of them, but it's an excuse to get together and have frosting. Happy almost Valentines Day!
***Please also note in these pictures the existence of SUN. That's right, it was actually warm enough for us to have a picnic and play outside. Truly amazing.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Dear Winter, this is how you make us feel
We enjoyed you for the first bit, but now you just feel like a kick to the crotch. It's been snowing for more days then I can count, we've been sick off and on for a month, and I'm pasty, pasty white. For the love of, can we please have some sun around these parts?

A Monkey Party
Some of the monkeys in attendance.
Pin the ear on the monkey.
Monkey cupcakes. On a side note, I recently learned that Betty bakes up a notably superior cupcake. Why have I gone 27 years without knowing this.
Isaac now has a new hoard of delightful presents. Some of which make especially loud and repetitive noises. I have mentally noted each mother who gave those to my son and can't wait for their child's upcoming birthdays.
