Oregon

Lucy and I are at my parent's house in Oregon. My sister Emily, and brother Seth, each got married in December and we are celebrating their marriages with a big shindig of sorts here in Corvallis. It's kind of turned into a family reunion since lots of my extended family are coming. I wish Geoff and Isaac could be here too, but they are off on a big boy trip with grandpa and uncle Steve in Idaho. We hope they bring back lots of fish! See you in a week.

Arg!

I wanted to get a picture of Isaac in this shirt that his grandma and grandpa brought him back from their trip to Hawaii...while it was still white. Geoff came out while I was taking them which meant I could actually get a picture with my little boy! I really need to get someone to take a family picture for us.

Thank you mom!

When my mom was here I worked her sewing fingers to the bone. Here is a sneak peak at some of the beautiful work she did in Lucy's room (recovering my rocking chair). It's so nice to have such a talented mom!

**As a side note, the fellow pictured in the first picture is my third child. I get to wrap him up and "nurse" him several times a day.

Feeling good

Lucy is doing much better. Thanks for all your well wishes. She weighed in at a whopping 7lbs 7oz at her 2 week appointment...a whole pound less then Isaac at this point. We're doing well here, and I'm adjusting to not having my mom here and truly being a momma of two...it's a little daunting.

Poor Lucy

Little Lucy caught her big brother's nasty cold. What a rotten way to start out life. Seriously, it has been real sad. Her eyes are red and swollen and she has a hard time eating and breathing. We are praying she gets better soon.

Isaac turns...10?

Geoff did his annual shaving of the head for summer and Isaac wanted to join in. Geoff and I both wish we hadn't done it now, he looks way too old! Oh, well, it grows back fast right?

Mornings at our house

Here is a typical scene in our bedroom: Lucy, snoozing it where I'm suppose to be sleeping. So much for those mother of one days! She does actually wake up, it's just that everytime I move her into good lighting, she closes her eyes!

Lucy's first bath

Not the cutest of pictures as she's scratched up her face, and is entering the baby acne phase (hate that!), but I had to document my mom giving Lucy her first real bath since she was the one to give Isaac his first bath also.

My mom is here!

My mom got here on Tuesday, hooray! My grandma (dad's mom) dropped her off. Isn't she real cute?

My little brother Luke is such a good uncle. Isaac loves him. I came out yesterday to see this interesting situation. Isaac, pantless, sitting on the back of the Plasma Car, with his skinny white legs wrapped around Uncle Luke.

Buddies

Have I mentioned before what a great dad my kids have? Let me do it again then.Geoff and Isaac already have a great relationship, but they've become even better buddies since Lucy's arrival. Geoff has been so great to wake up with Isaac in the morning, take him on his errands, and do all sorts of projects with him. They are so cute together. Isaac wants to do everything his dad does. Here's a couple shots of them playing around. I'm the luckiest girl alive.

Lucy Marseille Wright

Lucy made a quick entrance into the world this morning...a total of 2.45 hours of labor! I am ONE HAPPY mamma! She was born at 10:45am and weighed in at 7lbs, 4oz, measuring 19.5inches. At only a couple hours old, she looks to her mom and dad just like Isaac did at this point...a really round and chubby face that we just can't get over! More pictures to come when I'm a little more mobile. Thanks for all your well wishes. She's just PERFECT!
