Isaac and the tennis racket

Sorry, haven't taken many pictures as of late, I've been real busy between work and the kids. No, I'm not pregnant, but I do have a second child...my little brother. No, honestly it's been so fun to have him around. We've been going all over the place getting him settled in and trying to find him a job. I need to get some pictures of Isaac and him, they are great buddies. Here is a picture of Isaac with Geoff's tennis racket. He loves it and carries it around all over the place. And p.s, that's his tounge, not his bottom lip.

Boules on a Sunday afternoon

My little brother Luke has arrived! All the family in town met up at PF Changs in Salt Lake for a delicious dinner, and then we brought Luke back with us to P-town. He'll move into his apartment tomorrow. We are so happy and excited to have him here. Geoff, Luke and Isaac were out playing boules in the alleyway and I snapped a couple pictures. All of the boys refused to cooperate as usual, so here are some more of Isaac...not looking at me.

Big Mamma on Utah Lake

Geoff has had this whole week off and we had yet to do anything "fun", though Geoff has been doing a lot in the backyard which he thinks is fun (we're cementing the area next to the garage in the back). We took the opportunity to go to nearby Utah Lake and live it up for the afternoon. We put Isaac down for a nap and a neighbor girl came over to stay with him. We couldn't have asked for a better day. No wind with glassy and relatively warm water. We had SUCH a good time!

Oh what an exciting morning

I woke up at 8am to hear some large item in our back alley way. Isaac had had a rough night, so we were sleeping in a bit, all of us but Geoff who can't sleep past 7am. I look out the window to see Geoff in a large back-ho with our friend who lives down the street. Geoff had purchased some poly-pavement to do our back entry area by our garage and needed the back-ho to level the area. After successfully and quite beautifully if I might add, doing so, they headed over to our friend's house down the street to take up his driveway to do the same thing. I went over there with Isaac to watch the festivities and offered to watch their youngest boy while the mom took their other boys to swim lessons. After taking up all the old concrete, our friend decided to dig a hole to re-route some piping with the back-ho. This is where things took a turn for the worse. As he did so, we heard a loud hissing noise. Geoff yelled "Grab the kids, it's the gasline!". So I grabbed the two boys and took off running down the street to our house. They called 911 and after a disappointing 10 minutes or so, they finally came. But, they didn't know how to turn off the gasline. By this time, the whole neighborhood is out and the air smells of gas. A half hour later, Quest finally showed up and turned it off. Thankfully, nothing major happened and was more of a potential scare than anything. I of course brought the camera out to document the event.

Happy Father and Father-in-Law Day

Geoff's parents and his brother and sister came over for dinner tonight. We had homemade egg rolls, bbqed prawns, rice and watermelon. It was delicious! I'm grateful for this day to take time to really appreciate my husband and the wonderful father that he is. We are one lucky family to have him!

At Nielson's Park

Talk about some SERIOUS static electricity.

Isaac loved the swings.

Some funky walk he was doing. Note to viewer: Isaac decided to sit in the fountain which was on the premises and therefore we had to remove his clothes.

At the Seven Peaks...again

Stealing another child's intertube.

Giving dad a "purple-nurple". I was laughing so hard, getting it in focus wasn't possible.

My handsome boy.

Going down his first big-boy slide with dad. He loved it!

And once again, handsome.

Um, who taught him to do this?

All I can say is, it wasn't me. I was doing a load of laundry while Isaac was eating breakfast, came in to check on him, and this is what I saw. Now either this is just cereal-milk instinct, or I need to have a talk with a certain someone called Dad.

the "Scary Face" still in full effect

My friend Amy Furstenau took this picture yesterday at Lunch Group. I love it. This is the face Isaac makes when I ask him what he thinks of monsters, or if anyone says "scary". He's done this since he was about six months old.

Lunch Group, on a Wednesday

These shots are of Isaac looking out the window in Jen's cute nursery. All the kids played in there for an hour or more. I think they are real anxious for their buddy to finally join them!

One more

Ok, not the exact shot I was going for, but his face was too cute not to post. I'm going to keep working on this shot till I get it how it looks in my head. I love looking down and seeing this little guy tagging alongside me.

Perfect picture taking day

Today was overcast and rainy...so random, but welcomed. I followed Isaac around as usual with the camera, trying all my manual settings. I was really happy with the coloring I got, dark backgrounds, bright, vibrant colors.

Blue-Eyed boy

Such an innocent face for someone pulling bark off our tree.

Church PlayGroup

Today we got together and had the kids do some fingerpainting. We made the paint out of vanilla pudding and colored it. I didn't get any shots of Isaac actually painting, because he didn't really like getting his fingers dirty, however he did enjoy getting his shirt stained from the popsicles.

Skinned Knees

Nothing says summer, quite like skinned knees. I saw these little girl's and had to take a picture.

Estee's One year birthday party

On Saturday, after taking Geoff and my brother Seth up to Aspen Grove to go mountain biking, I finally made it over to Isaac's best buddies house. Estee Furstenau turned one on the 31st and her mom, Amy had a super fun celebration for her. There was delicious food, a pinata, a blow-up castle and CUPCAKES! For some reason Isaac thought he couldn't use his hands and proceeded to plow into this cupcake with his face. I kept finding him throughout the party with different cupcakes, I'm still not sure how many he ate!
